I am preparing for a local clothing swap next weekend and hoping to make more deliberate choices this time. Previously I brought home several interesting pieces, but none of them worked especially well with the clothes I already had. I am considering color choices through color analysis to narrow my choices without rejecting a useful item just because its shade falls outside a suggested palette. Should my checklist name a few colors, or describe a specific missing layer that would improve the outfits I already wear? Trying things on should be possible, although artificial lighting means I do not want to rely entirely on how shades appear. What simple rule helps you leave with clothes you will actually wear rather than another collection of interesting separate pieces?
